Rockdale Boys Gospel Bluegrass at Chester Heights Camp Meeting

The Rockdale Boys Gospel Bluegrass Band will perform in the “Concerts in the Woods” series at Chester Heights Camp Meeting Concert on Sunday, June 28th at 7:00 pm, with finger-pickin’ gospel bluegrass music. Their songs are based on Bible Passages, such as Psalm 51 and more, including one by Mark Sutherland called “My Mama Prayed for Me.” Mark, and Bob Alek live in Rockdale in “Northern Aston.” The other group members are Harry Gambrill, on banjo, from Ridley Park, Dan Hughes, of West Chester and Rick Shryock on fiddle. The Camp Meeting is located at 320 Valleybrook Road (Rte 261,) one mile South of US Route 1 (Baltimore Pike,) directly opposite the intersection where Smithbridge Road meets 261.

Chester Heights Camp Meeting Association is an evangelical religious organization that works with area churches. They are located on 31 acres, with 150 year-old trees, hiking trails, children's playground, several Victorian public buildings, such as an original gazebo that seats 120 people, and 60 century-old Victorian summer cottages.
