Chester Heights Camp Meeting Ends 2009 Season with Memorial Service

Chester Heights Camp Meeting will hold their final event this season with an annual memorial service at 7:00 PM on Sunday, September 20th. It will include a variety of contemporary worship songs by teenagers such as "Jesus Take the Wheel" sung by Jamie Harris, a daughter/father duet, an old time hymn sing and a sermon entitled "No More Outhouses at Camp" from Deuteronomy, by Rev. Jimmy Montgomery, the Campmeeting's Spiritual Director.   All faiths are welcome and invited.

Some of the 65 historic Victorian cottages can be toured a half hour before the service.
 
The Camp Meeting is located at 320 Valleybrook Road (Rte 261,) one mile South of US Route 1 (Baltimore Pike,) at the Smithbridge Road traffic light.
 
Chester Heights Camp Meeting Association is an evangelical religious organization that works with area churches. They are located on 31 acres, with 150 year-old trees, hiking trails, children's playground, several Victorian public buildings, such as an original gazebo that seats 120 people, and 60 century-old Victorian summer cottages. It’s listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and “Save Americas Treasures.”
