Camp Meeting
The Heaven Bound Singers
will perform in the
“Concerts in the woods”
series at Chester Heights
Camp Meeting Concert on
Sunday August 23, at 7:00
pm.
This family group from
New Jersey formed in
1977 and includes Jim,
Marilyn and Jimmy Marich,
Jamie and Tracy Hargrove and
Gary Trull. They sing a
variety of music ranging
from
Southern Gospel to
early contemporary styles.
Their current CD is “The
Heaven Bound Singers By
Request”
The concert and refreshments
are free. A love offering
will be taken during the
concert. Some of the 65
historic Victorian cottages
can be toured a half hour
before the concert.
The Camp Meeting is located
at 320 Valleybrook Road (Rte
261,) one mile South of US
Route 1 (Baltimore
Pike,) at the
Smithbridge Road traffic
light.
Chester Heights
Camp Meeting Association
is an evangelical religious
organization that works with
area churches. They are
located on 31 acres, with
150 year-old trees, hiking
trails, children's
playground, several
Victorian public buildings,
such as an original gazebo
that seats 120 people, and
60 century-old Victorian
summer cottages. It’s listed
on the
National Registry of
Historic Places and
“Save Americas Treasures.”
